New backpack- check(She's way too old for the princess pack from last year. Princesses are for babies.)
New pants- check(These ones actually cover her shins and ankles. When did she grow so tall!?)
Three boxes of Kleenexes-check(Because I miss her terribly. )
Actually, the tissues are for her classroom but I do miss her. We have four days of second grade under our belts. Which, on the bright side, puts us 4 days closer to summer vacation. Right?

She is so grown up Dest!! Holy cow! And somehow I forgot she is a grade ahead of Caleb, (and Clive) 2nd grade already!? Wow! And Mason starts school next year like Jakey, right?
I am counting the days until next summer and we haven't even started school yet...
Jake starts 4th grade on the 25th...Why do these sweet kiddos have to grow up so fast? Can you come to Monroe and take pictures of Jake going to school for the first day? :) You are seriously talented!!!! It also helps that your subject matter is a cute as can be! :)

Avery is beautiful! she had a short summer. When I asked if school was fun she said it was just OK...but her teacher is very nice.
