Pink

The color of my ultrasound.

It's a girl baby!

I would never have admitted it before (and I'm sure I would have been excited about a boy too) but I was secretly hoping for another girl. Call me crazy. My girls have been way harder than my boy. (Although his three year old self is giving them a run for their money.) There is just something about baby girls. Maybe it's because I'm an only girl with 3 (totally awesome) brothers.

Mason was a bit disappointed at first to not be getting a brother, but now says he will be "very good friends with the new baby."

Ryan's fear was confirmed and visible in his expression, I might add. (Breathe, honey. Just breathe! You're doing great!) I'm sure in no time this little girl will have him wrapped around her little finger, just like her sisters before. Have I mentioned how easy Mason was?!

Avery can't believe it's another girl but she's fine with the news.

And miss Brittain, while she lovingly pats my belly and says "baby", she really has no idea how life is about to change.

Grandma just knew it would be a girl. (No, we're not naming her Nelly!) No offense.

Now, all we have to do is wait. 20 more weeks to go.

Do you think that is enough time to finish a basement, wean a toddler from her Binky, and possibly begin potty training? Just a few ideas we are contemplating...

Congrats on the girl! It is so funny to hear you say that the boy was easier because boy is it opposite over her! My girls are way easier...although I'll probably take that back when they become teenagers :) I am contemplating weaing from the binky for Anna and potty training Luke come the new year...I don't know what we're thinking but maybe we'll get strength from each other :)

Nellie? Where the heck did that come from?

"Whoa, Nelly!"

I admit it looks much better "Nellie". Still not in the running.

Liz, I loved your comment. So true.

That's interesting your boys have been harder, Chastity.

I'm so excited for you. I'm a little jealous of all those girls! I so wish I had another girl for Sydnee to have a sister. 3 boys is crazy, but either way, it's still fun. I had forgotten that you were the only girl! Good Luck with your projects.

Congrats!! It seems that everybody I know are having girls. It will be fun to watch them grow up at the same time. We too are working on the potty training so good luck with that one.

Congrats! I am in love with little girls and dressing them up. I just learned how to make bows and I'm afraid I am addicted:) Poor Mason though, it will be tough to hold his ground with all the pink!

How did I miss this?

I am so excited! I thought you guys might just wait to find out! But it is just too much fun to know early!

Are you thinking about another home birth? By the way, I think you must be SUPER WOMAN to be able to handle the pain! WoW!

Wahooo!!! We are so excited for baby girl number #3! They will have so much fun being a little sister trio! Mason will just have to bond with his boy cousin's more!
Sylee has definantly been easier for us, but man our house would be far too quiet without those crazy, fun boys!
I love the whole baby girl thing! The bows, the tights, the hair, the way cuter selection of clothes, ahh it goes on and on! Yes maybe we are a little baby hungry ourselves! NO announcement! Congratulations again and Ryan, thought you would be a little tougher than that by now! This cenerio should be a little familier...one boy, three girls...okay then one more boy but you get the picture! Can't wait to see her and let's here those name ideas!
Love ya and miss ya all so much!

Congrats on another girl! Now you'll be just like my family growing up, only my brother was the oldest. Those girls will have such a fun sisterhood. Good luck on your checklist of things to do!
